There's no better feeling than coming home after a hard days work and seeing that cardboard Glossybox-branded box sitting there waiting for me on the desk. Yep, it's that time of month again where I decide whether I got my £12's worth of beauty products. I was pretty much ready to cancel my subscription after last months monstrosity of a box but Glossybox - you've done it again!
This months box was themed around "Sweet Treats". I did think they'd throw in a couple of Haribo's in there or something but times must be hard!
TRESEMME INSTANT REFRESH CLEANSING DRY SHAMPOO
This is product that I was drawn to first as one) it's the biggest and two) I LOVE Tresemme! I've always been a Batiste girl when it comes to dry shampoo so it's so nice to receive something new to try. I currentLY use Tresemme shampoo, conditioner and hairspray and the main thing I love about them is the smell of the products. I just had a quick sprits of the dry shampoo... and yep, it smells exactly the same as the rest of the Tresemme family. I'm heading to London this weekend so it's a great size to throw in my handbag too! SUPER excited to try this out!
Full size - £4.99 for 200ml
EMITE MAKE UP - LIP BRUSH
Now, I'm not really a huge lip product girl. I only ever really use the odd lipgloss on occasions and I don't ever apply it with a brush. HOWEVER, I've been on the look for a decent angled brush to fill in my brows as the brush that comes with the Sleek Brow Kit is just far too small. So, hey presto - I've got one! The brush isn't sharply angled but just enough to be used for eyebrows. Who uses make-up brushes for their actual use these days anyway?
One size - £17
HE-SHI PROFESSIONAL TANNING FACE & BODY GEL
Considering Glossybox's feeble attempt at a tanning product last month, I am glad to see that they have redeemed themselves. I welcome any tanning product into my life with open arms and am obviously really excited to give this one a whirl. I usually do remain faithful to mousses when it comes to tanning products but I'm definitely open to suggestion. I just rubbed a little drop into my hand and the product actually smells gorgeous! Again, I can't wait to try this out.
Travel Size - £7.75 for 50ml
MEMEME COSMETICS - BEAT THE BLUES: PEARL PINK
I never know what to think when it comes to liquid highlighters as I feel they look far too obvious. However, with Summer fast approaching and the 'dewey' look being in again this season - I probably will give this a go at some point. I think it might be a little bit too light for me but I'm sure I'll make it work. It might be interesting to mix a little into my foundation too!
Full size - £5.50 for 12ml
MONU SPA - WARMING GINGER MASSAGE & BODY OIL
What beauty fanatic isn't up to their eye balls in body oils? This is the product that I was least excited about as it will probably get thrown into my samples tin until I find a use for it. First impressions is that the products doesn't smell too great but for the price tag, it must do it's job!
Full size - £25 for 100ml
So, another month's excitement over and another load of products for me to get my paws into. I feel like I definitely got my money's worth with this month's box (especially the lip brush!) and I can't wait to try out most of my new products. Glossybox have definitely won me over again - I wonder if they can keep it up!
