Starting off on a bit of a morbid note but this year has been my Mum's first Mother's Day without her Mum. My Nan passed away last summer so I thought that my Mum definitely needed spoiling this year!
As you can see, I got my Mum a range of gifts as I just LOVE buying presents for people. I love getting them something that I know matches their personality or that I know they'll love and get use out of.
I firstly ordered some flowers for her from a lady that runs a business from home. My Mum was unfortunately working during the morning on Mother's Day so I got the lady to deliver them to her work. My Mum absolutely loves getting flowers so I knew it would put a smile on her face - and getting them delivered to her work was an extra little surprise for her. I also bought her the Eco-Tools Fresh & Flawless Five Piece Complexion Set as I know how much she wanted some nice new make-up brushes. I bought her a Yankee Candle tumbler in Clean Cotton, a "Mum" tea light holder and some vanilla scented tea lights because I know how much she obsesses over candles (wonder where I get it from!). I also got her a couple of boxes of chocolates because what Mum doesn't like to get a sweet treat?! I finally got her a picture of my Mum and her Mum together and bought a frame for it to go in. I knew that my Mum would be feeling very emotional today so I thought that she definitely needed to be made to smile! We went out for lunch at her favourite restaurant and then chilled in the garden in the sun scoffing her chocolates!
I love my Mum unbelievable amounts. She is my most special best friend and I can talk to her about anything. Literally, anything. She helps me out more than I care to admit and though sometimes I may not show it, I really do appreciate everything she does for me - even the little things like bringing me a sausage butty in bed on a Sunday morning when I'm hungover haha! It sounds very cliche but I don't know how I would cope without my Mum. She is literally the best Mum in the world (just like everybody elses haha).
I hope you all had a lovely day celebrating with your Mum too! :-)
